About a fortnight ago, I broke a tooth in eating at home. I booked the first appointment I could get with my usual dentist Kathryn Newbold. Having explained that an alternative might be to have a crown, she proposed the more staisfactory solution: to fill the tooth from behind, since the front of the tooth remained. She proceded to do this on the spot, and with infinite care and gentleness she has produced what seems like a wonderful solution: smooth, well fitting and functional. I was so impressed by her gentleness. Dentists of yore would inssert the band as if it were an instrument of torture. Not Kathryn. And her dental nurse was just as caring and friendly. Thank you.

Quick efficient service from all involved in the practice. They knew who I was, why I was there and hardly any waiting time.

I had a painful broken tooth that needed treatment but I also had a chest infection with a bad cough that made the treatment difficult for patient and dentist. She was kind and patient, explained things well and gave options, reassured me during treatment, took care to protect my airway, did a great job of the repair.

Staff are very welcoming and make you feel at ease, I am always treated with respect and all procedures are explained and helpful advice given in the care of my teeth and gums. Thank you Shipston Dental Practice.

As expected

I was concerned about increasing sensitivity in one tooth. As I was about to leave on holiday contacted the practice who arranged an appointment that morning (with my own dentist). She made a thorough examination, provided the minimal treatment needed and gave excellent advice. I couldn't fault the service provided in any way.

In addition to the customary highly professional purely dental clinical care, the dentist, a full Dr., advised me on an ongoing problem I am having with the aftermath of a viral throat infection that affected my mouth and tongue, and to some extent my gums. As a result, I was able to have additional informed input to my GP on the presentation of my problem. I am expecting a response within days. My dentist was more thorough than an ENT hospital specialist recently consulted.
